Ana Rausch named Chief Executive Officer of The Beacon

Following an extensive search, The Beacon Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Ana Rausch as CEO, effective June 16.  She succeeds Becky Landes, who will be moving to Virginia in July.

Rausch is a nationally recognized leader in social systems transformation.  With over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, she is known for designing and implementing large-scale, data-driven initiatives that generate measurable impact and lasting change.

“I’m incredibly excited to join The Beacon as its next CEO and thrilled to lead an organization so deeply committed to helping individuals in need.  I have a long history with The Beacon and it has always held a special place in my heart.  This organization has a long history of meaningful impact, and I’m honored to be a part of that journey.  I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves, working with the amazing team and partners, and continuing to push the mission forward in bold and innovative ways,” said Rausch.

She most recently served as Director of System Transformation for Clutch Consulting Group.  Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Program Operations at the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston, where she played a pivotal role in reducing homelessness by 63 percent across the region. She led the implementation of Houston’s Coordinated Entry system, helped design the nationally recognized Encampment Response Strategy, and expanded federal funding from $23 million to $46 million—all while overseeing the organization’s largest department and managing system-wide strategic planning and performance evaluation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ana and look forward to all that she will bring to The Beacon as it makes its way into the next chapter of its public service mission to restore the dignity for our most vulnerable neighbors and guide them on a path towards safe, stable housing,” said The Very Reverend Nathaniel Katz, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral and Beacon Board Chair.

During her career, Rausch’s leadership has shaped policy and practice across the U.S., and her work has been featured in numerous media articles. She holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and resides in northwest Houston.
