We champion equal justice for homeless, low-income individuals and remedy the conditions that burden and marginalize them.
90% of America's civil legal aid need goes unmet, but that's not the case with our Beacon Law program. In addition to staff attorneys and paralegals, volunteer lawyers help Beacon Law meet the legal needs of Houston's homeless.
To apply for legal services, you can do one of two things:
1. Ask your case manager at one of our partner agencies to help with submitting an application. They will have access to the on-line application.
2. Visit The Beacon Day Center on Fridays between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and ask for legal intake. Staff with gather basic information on your legal needs. This information will be screened for eligibility and conflicts at a later date and cases will be worked on a first come, first served basis.
