To apply for legal services, you can do one of two things:

1. Ask your case manager at one of our partner agencies to help with submitting an application.  They will have access to the on-line application.

2. Sign up at The Beacon Day Center on Fridays by asking for legal intake.  Sign-up starts when the doors open at 7 a.m. and the first 25 people to sign-up will be seen. 

 

Staff will gather basic information on your legal needs.  This information will be screened for eligibility and conflicts at a later date and cases will be worked on a first come, first served basis.

Types of services:

• ID restoration including but not limited to resolving driver's license holds, replacement of immigration documents, and name change (for purposes of obtaining ID)

• Clearing criminal history (expunctions and non-disclosures)

• Social Security benefits appeals

• Limited family law (uncontested pro se divorce and child support modification)

• Housing law including evictions

• Limited wills and estates (small estate affidavits and estate planning)
