PROVIDING ESSENTIAL AND NEXT-STEP SERVICES TO RESTORE HOPE AND HELP END HOMELESSNESS IN HOUSTON
Engage and Empower
The Beacon is a central hub of services for individuals experiencing homelessness. We have various programs that engage individuals in the process of recovering from living unsheltered – from hot homemade meals, mailbox privileges, shower and laundry services to civil legal aid and resource & referral.
Ultimately, we seek to assist these individuals through a community-wide homeless response system known as The Way Home which links them with appropriate supportive housing. Often times, The Beacon is the first point of entry for individuals to begin their journey which is why it’s important that we build a strong rapport with them and serve them with dignity and respect.
