Coordinated Access/Housing Assessments

Since 2014, The Beacon has been a vital partner in the efforts of The Way Home to help end homelessness across Greater Houston. 

​

As part of this initiative, our coordinated access hub provides assessments for homeless individuals, matching them to appropriate, supportive, housing options.

​

This housing case management helps to bridge the challenges one faces in moving from the street to stable housing.

Results

  • 33% of the assessments for the year completed at The Beacon

  • Assessment staff participated in assessing and housing 936 individuals displaced by Hurricane Harvey

  • One of two agencies with the newly launched RRH Singles project this year
